The Rocky Mountain Technical Collection drops today with three new MTB jersey options, plus a hoodie, a pair of shorts, and bib liners for men and women.

Rocky Mountain says the “featherweight” jerseys “feel like AC” and implement antimicrobial fabrics and ventilation to stay fresh. Meanwhile, the subtle hoodie aims to help you stay comfy on the trail this fall and look the part while you sip a beer afterward.

The shorts seek to stay light weight, geared toward casual lunchtime trail rides — or pair with the bib liners for longer outings. And the bib itself gets an MTB-specific chamois pad plus a silicone gripper.

Also, each outerwear entry gets a safety boost via RECCO integration, which helps rescue crews find injured or incapacitated riders faster without adding extra weight or bulk.

Here are the critical points of the MTB-focused Rocky Mountain Technical Collection.

RECCO works by casting a radar beam from a rescue staff’s detector. It operates like a flashlight beam, and when it hits the RECCO reflector inside your clothes, it bounces right back. From there, whoever’s holding the detector moves in.

Recco seems like an odd choice here. The range is only 80m in clear air, and do summer rescue teams even have the detectors? Mainly used for avalanche recovery in winter.
