Police officers have released images of two men they want to speak to in connection with the incidents

Officers are investigating two robberies and two women had their bags snatched from them in Leicester. The first incident happened St Augustine Road in the Black Friars area of the city on April 6.

A bag was snatched from a woman in her 70s between 3.45pm and 4pm, Leicestershire Police confirmed. Less than a week later a woman in her 60s had her bag taken from her in Bisley Road, off Narborough Road.

The incident reportedly took place at around 5pm on April 12.

The force has now released images of two men they want to speak to in connection with the incidents. Officers believe they will be recognised, despite their faced partially covered.

PC Neil Rawlings, the investigating officer, said: "While I appreciate that both men have their faces partially covered in these images, I believe there will be someone who recognises them.

"If you know who they are, then please get in touch. Likewise if you’re one of the two men pictured, then please contact me as I would like to speak to you."
