Reminder: It's Easter this weekend.
It was my birthday this week, and if my brother didn’t remind me the day before, it would have completely slipped my mind. It’s been a whirlwind few days, and the cracks are starting to show. I didn’t even realize that Easter is this Sunday and that Earth Day is next week until this morning, when I started rounding up this week’s menswear releases.
Indeed, I send flowers to loved ones on Easter, and if it weren't for Le Père’s beautiful, blooming sweatshirt, I would have never checked the date. And if it weren't for two releases by the ecologically-sound Pangaia, one of them with Vandy The Pink, Earth Day would have come and gone. I’m also a tennis fan, and Sergio Tacchini’s collection with the Monte Carlo Country Club reminded me that the Masters Tournament is currently underway. Lastly, thanks to a pair of hiking shoes from A-Cold-Wall x ROA, I’m not going to miss the trek that my pals have planned for this weekend.
Admittedly, rounding all up all these great options every week can feel like more of the same (I do it for you, dear reader!), but I’m positively glad to have done it this time. So, scroll through the list below, cop some cool stuff, and relax this weekend. I’ll be doing the same…after I climb a mountain.
Pangaia started out the gate with colorful, sustainably-made sweats and hoodies that celebs—and many of the Esquire staff—couldn't get enough of. Earlier this year, it offered a denim collection that stuck to same ethos. And as of this week, the Pangaia has launched a tailored line comprised of jackets and trousers in black and a range of bright hues, all them offering the comfort and ease that we expect of the label.
Lacoste has stepped into a virtual reality—sort of. The French sportswear label has teamed with Minecraft, a 3D sandbox game, on a collection of eye-catching styles that beckons us to have fun in the real world.
Koio creates some of the best sneakers, all them elegant, streamlined, and made of quality materials. Sharing this philosophy is Norm Architects, a Copenhagen-based design firm, which partnered with the Italian-made footwear label on selection of leather and suede sneakers that celebrates minimalism at its finest.
Sergio Tacchini is playing ball with Monte Carlo Country Club. For this year's Masters Tournament, the brand has dropped a collection of tennis styles, all done up in sleek geometric patterns, that truly serves an ace.
It was about high time that A-Cold-Wall, the Samuel Ross-founded brand noted for its forward-thinking designs, and ROA, the footwear label for stylish trekkers, joined forces. This week, both released a selection of bold, graphic hiking shoes that are beamed in from the future, but meant for the adventurous among us today.
Pangaia has been keeping busy. The brand returns to the list, this time with Vandy the Pink, releasing a collection—exclusive to Nordstrom as part of the 16th edition of the retailer's New Concepts program—designed to raise awareness for the protection of trees. What's more, to accompany the new release, Pangaia and Nordstrom are making a donation to Direct Relief, an NGO providing medical aid to Ukraine and surrounding countries.
A new label has entered the fashion fold. This week, Le Père launched its inaugural collection, one that truly celebrates artistry. To wit: the label tapped musicians, illustrators, and artists to collaborate on prints, including Faysal Matin, who helped envision this sweet sweatshirt that shows promise and sows the seeds of this burgeoning brand.
Keiser Clark is beloved by ballers, especially basketball players who love cardigans. So it just makes sense that the brand would partner with the NBA a collection collection, called Freshman Year, of letterman knits and sweatsuits.
Swagger and chutzpah are great ways to describe both Alpha Industries, the originator of the modern-day bomber jacket, and Playboy, the media company that's all about pleasure. And now you can capture that vibe with this banging bomber.
From the spiffiest outwear to the sleekest suits to sweats, Todd Snyder has all the stuff you need to fill up your wardrobe. The only thing that was missing was footwear under his own banner (he's done collabs aplenty before). That is, until this week, when the designer released his first ever shoe, The Nomad, which is named after his flagship store, located North of Madison Square Park.
Mother's jeans are flattering, comfortable, and durable. But with its new spring drop, the brand is showing that it has other styles that fit the same bill, including this drawstring chino.
