Missing boy sleeps in cemetery; man threatens ‘to shoot up’ park: Chagrin Falls Police Blotter - cleveland.com

Finding a boy asleep under a tree at 8 a.m. Aug. 22 in the back of Evergreen Cemetery, a service department employee called police.

At the same time a Chagrin Falls woman reported her son missing. Officers responding to the cemetery confirmed that the sleeping boy was the woman’s son.

Aggravated menacing: North Main Street

Police responded to a report of a white man wearing a black hoodie threatening people in Riverside Park at 9:29 p.m. Aug. 24.

Upon arrival to the park, officers learned that he had left, but had threatened to return with an AK-47 and “shoot it up.”

More officers were dispatched to search for him. After a lengthy search, the man, 27, was found at his home. He was handcuffed and read his Miranda rights. It was determined that he needed medical attention and was transported to a hospital.

Domestic violence: West Carriage Drive

Police were dispatched to a home at 7:50 p.m. Aug. 28 regarding an altercation between a father, 66, and daughter, 42.

Both refused medical treatment for minor cuts and bruising. They were separated for the night and a report was forwarded to the prosecutor for review.

Traffic stop: West Orange Street

A Euclid woman, 27, was arrested and released with a court summons at 3:09 p.m. Aug. 23 after police caught her driving with a suspended license.

Traffic stop: North Main Street

After making an illegal U-turn at 8:48 p.m. Aug. 23, a Cleveland man, 26, was found to be driving on a suspended license. He was cited for both offenses and will face Bedford Municipal Court.
